Before:
All the wood in the house, including the master bathroom cabinets had an outdated white washed oak appearance.
After:
Instead of painting over the existing cabinet color or replacing entirely, we were able to create a custom color for our client. We added all new hinges and drilled for pulls or knobs. None of the cabinets had knobs or pulls, so we chose a 3″ pull and simple knob for doors and drawers. Also by adding new hinges, the brushed nickel is a nice contrast to a darker stain.
The client is planning on replacing the counter tops in a few years, but in the meantime, by changing from a dated white washed oak look to a darker wood, they don’t feel as rushed to make those changes.
