We ended up making a custom stain with a few different tints to match his kitchen cabinets — that way, you felt like the entrance was a continuation throughout the house. The door had faded and turned golden with the sun — it’s smart to add some color to your front door in order to give it a longer life. The darker colors act as a sunscreen and give the wood some longevity.
